John Lopez

Senior research engineer at the French CNRS - CELIA laboratory (University of Bordeaux)

John Lopez has a Ph.D. on laser ablation of polymers (University of Bordeaux).

He has been a senior research engineer at the French CNRS since 2001 and he is working at the CELIA laboratory (University of Bordeaux). He is recognized worldwide as an expert in laser ablation and laser micro machining. His current research topics are metals and transparent material processing, GHz-burst material processing, beam shaping and laser-assisted eye surgery.

Gwenn Pallier

Project & Product manager at Cailabs

Gwenn Pallier holds a Masters’s degree in optical engineering from the Institute of Optics (Paris, France).

As a project and product manager at Cailabs, she brings her expertise to the development and commercialization of innovative optical solutions, that optimize the quality and performance of laser machining processes.

Jérôme Patars

R&D Engineer at LASEA

Jérôme Patars joined LASEA in 2015, as part of the Optical devices & Metrology Unit. He studied Physics at the University of Liège and got graduated of a Master in spatial sciences in 2013.

He has done an internship at CSL in 2013 during which he developed and validated a metrological device based on the temporal unwrapping technique. He notably has worked at LASEA on metal-polymer welding characterization, development of optical simulation softwares, optical design improvement of Lasea machine systems, laser processing on various materials (e.g. metals, glass, polymers) and numerous optical components testing and validation in the scope of European and Belgian research projects.

Girolamo Mincuzzi

Manager of the “Microscale laser processing group” at Alphanov

Physics graduated in Bari University (Italy), fellow at the National Institute of Optics (Naples, Italy) as designer of high power, ceramic, lasers, he got his Ph.D. at Rome University studying laser material interaction for photovoltaic applications.

Post-Doc of laser activities at the Centre For Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy (Rome), he joined Alphanov in 2014. He is now Manager of the “Microscale laser processing group” and his activity is focused on laser machining with industrial, high power, femtosecond lasers.
