This presentation will describe the issue of multimode fiber capacity limitation within increasing bandwidth demand context and show various existing technologies to solve this issue. Use cases will be explained to show how to increase MMF bandwidth over legacy cabling infrastructure, using an emerging passive technology which enables SMF bandwidth over MMF. Detailed explanations on technical principle and implementation will be given, as well as how to implement POLAN over existing MMF.
